Artistic Statement
Art is expression. As a dancer, I acknowledge the technical challenges of the discipline, while also believing that dance, at it's core, requires an additional internal commitment from all who partake in it. My work examines the connection of others through movement, diving deeply into the emotional range we have as human beings. I like to explore the fusion of a variety of dance styles, including my background in Polynesian cultural dances. For me, dance is a medium through which we can push ourselves to our personal limits, connect to others, and investigate our own inner mindscapes.
